The City of North Royalton has services available for its senior and disabled citizens. The North Royalton Senior Van provides transportation for senior citizens only. Those who cannot drive can schedule a ride for shopping or medical appointments within the community and surrounding area.
The Office on Aging is open Monday through Friday (8:30 am - 4:00 pm) for socialization, education, crafts, card playing, health care screening, free blood pressure screenings, senior exercises and other activities. All dates of screenings and special activities are announced in the ROYALTON RECORDER column SENIOR SCENE. The Office on Aging and
the Senior Center are located in the Deaconess Center Perry Senior Apartments, 13500 Ridge Road. They are accessible by using the center door on the south side of the building.
The Office on Aging provides free assistance with Medicare, medical paperwork, social services, information on Medicaid, nursing homes, Nursing Home Ombudsman, food bank, Salvation Army Service Unit and other programs. They also provide assistance with all government programs, including Golden Buckeye, HEAP, disability programs, Homestead programs, subsidized housing, community development
and other programs. The Office also assists younger, disabled, or disadvantaged residents. It coordinates the North Royalton/Kiwanis Emergency Food Bank.

residents with disabilities and all other residents.
